What Love Taught Me!

What love taught me,
In the current world world, most of us never understand what love really means. We tend to fall in love without caution. We love unconditionally. We care too much. Without understanding the out come of its effect.
Love never chose where to grow, love does not care how it is propelled, love only cares how it is perceived. Teenagers mostly, do engage in relationships so easily. Without having a specific intention in the relationship, but only hoping that love will last forever.
Who ever said that love is always forever? Who ever said that every relationship will end up in a marriage? How many relationships have you been? How many relationships never worked out, because of one or two reason? I learnt a lot from love. Do you wanna know?
I remember back then when I was in high school. Very energetic and confidence. In our school there was a girl, who had been admitted so recently from another school. She was so beautiful. Her beauty is what really amazed me. It is not that I never met anyone beautiful like her. She was unique in her own way, and that what made me fall crazily for her without giving a second thought.
She always liked to sit alone during break time. She went to the dinning hall alone, She never had friends at first. She seemed never interested to interact with any girl or boy. Silent, and cool that how she was. She was a short girl, with a complexion of an Arab and African. Her skin color, you could tell she was a half cast.
She had big brown eyes, with long black hair. She was never slim or fat. Brilliant was her nature, I could hear this from her classmates talking about her. She was pretty good in business study.
Many boys were after her. I couldn`t stand that chance seeing her in someone`s else hands. I took initiative. One day as it was games time i saw her sitting alone at the basketball pitch. I stood aside for some seconds to think of how I`m going to start a conversation with her. I took advantage of my leadership. I was a very respected class captain. Most of the teachers recognized me as a student who is focused and moral upright, different from most of my school mates. They always caused chaos in school, smoking in school and some even engaged in the trafficking of drugs.
“Hello! How are you doing Sophia?” I greeted her. She seemed surprised. I knew her name. Guess boys always try to search for what they want.
“I`m doing great,” She answered. She looked down and never put an eye on me.
“Why are you sitting here alone, while most of the students are in the field playing football, volleyball, netball, aren`t you a fan of any of the games?”
“I`m not interested to play any kind of games,” She replied quickly.
“I prefer you to be in the field than sitting here alone, the games teacher does not recommend this at all, we can go together because I was heading there too and I thought it would be better if I accompany. I know you don`t have friends. I can be one.”
She smiled.
I slowly went with her to the field, but then she had no games kit, neither did I. We went to the field and sat on the ground watching the the students playing and shouting. I looked at her when she was silent, and she never said a word. She looked at me and realised that i was looking at her too. She asked me my name, and why was I not playing any of the games.
That how the conversation started. She now started being open to me. She told me she liked to play basketball, in her previous school she was in her school team. This made me also to be open to her. We had an amazing conversation. I knew that she was so talkative, but she only talked to people who seemed to understand her.
People were so surprised how I managed to make a quick friendship with her. Sophia would not talk to most of the boys. Most of them would approach her, start flirting with her, and I guess is something that Sophia looked upon from those boys. This was different from me, I think that what made me get her trust that quick, and she knew I was the only boy she could trust.
We used to meet under the mango tree, which was just in front of the school block. I forgot to mention something, we were in boarding school. Girls had their own dorms a bit far from boys. This was so amazing, because I had the whole time in the world to make her believe that something would be between us.
Stay in touch, I will be informing you the part 2 of the story.
